On December 3, 2017, Ambassador Mykhailo Brodovych and representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine celebrated birthday of famous Ukrainian poet and philosopher Gryhorii Skovoroda, by laying flowers in front of the monument, which was opened by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of Slovenia Borut Pahor during the official visit of the Head of Ukrainian State to Slovenia, on November 8, 2016.
