Regional cooperation in all spheres is actively developing between Ukraine and Slovenia. Slovenia's experience in the field of decentralization is of great interest to Ukraine
On the initiative of the Government Office of Slovenia, within the framework of the U-Lead program, a series of study visits by representatives of the Ukrainian OTG on issues of development and European unity policy to Slovenian municipalities took place in 2019.
Since 2023, a two-year training program from the Center for European Perspective (Slovenia) with the support of U-LEAD and funding from the Government of Slovenia, called "Rebuilding Ukraine", has been in operation, in the framework of which Ukrainian communities have the opportunity to learn how to prepare grant projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine, as well as to involve their new partners from Slovenia in such projects.
