On March 7, 2018, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo F. Brodovych held a meeting with President of the National Council Alojz Kovšca.

During the meeting the Slovenian side was informed about the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal award in the case of «Naftogaz» against «Gazprom». It was emphasized that Ukraine would use all legal mechanisms to force Russia to implement the arbitration award.

The sides also discussed the Appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to states – partners on recognition of Holodomor 1932-1933 as genocide against the Ukrainian people. In this context the Ambassador called on the Slovenian side to consider the possibility to adopt appropriate document at the parliamentary level.

The Ambassador briefed on the situation in the East of Ukraine as well as paid special attention to the necessity to launch the UN peacekeeping operation in Donbas.

The Slovenian side was informed about the situation in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
