On April, 18, 2018, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo F. Brodovych held a meeting with lectors of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv M. Klimets and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv O. Dzyuba-Pogrebnyak.

During the meeting it was discussed the possibility to open Ukrainian Language Teaching at the University of Ljubljana.

The sides exchanged the views on ways to strengthen cooperation between Slovenian and Ukrainian universities.

Also discussed the activities of Joint Ukrainian-Slovenian Commission for the Study of the historical facts of the First World War, which was initiated in the framework of the official visit of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to Slovenia on November 8, 2016. In this context it was agreed to exchange materials connected with the events of the First World War.
