On November 5, 2018, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo F. Brodovych held a meeting with editor-in-chief of the leading Slovenian online media «Portal Plus» Dejan Steinbuch.

 

In the framework of the meeting the sides discussed the current situation in Donbas, as well as violation of Minsk agreements by the Russian side.

 

Special attention was paid to the pseudo elections, planned by Kremlin in Donbas. It was emphasized that the results of these fake «snap elections» would not produce any legal consequences and would not be recognized by the international community.

 

The sides also discussed the literature evening of Zakhar Prilepin, which will take place on November 24, 2018, in Ljubljana, in the framework of 34-th Slovenian book fair.

The Ambassador informed Dejan Steinbuch that Zakhar Prilepin is one of the Russian terrorists who is fighting against the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas, and from 2015 is an adviser to the so-called «chief of Donetsk People’s Republic». Mykhailo F. Brodovych  noted that in 2017 the Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings against Zakhar Prilepin and pretrial investigation under «participation in activities of a terrorist organization» and «financing of terrorism» according to the Criminal code of Ukraine.
