On April 17, 2019, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo F. Brodovych attended the roundtable discussion «The Convention on the Rights of the Child: 30th anniversary», organized by the Embassy of Italy and the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana.

The event was opened by Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Miro Cerar. In his speech Minister underlined the importance of assisting children in conflict zones. In this context he stressed the results of the program of psychological rehabilitation, provided to the Ukrainian children, whose parents were killed during Revolution of Dignity as well as in counter-terrorist operation in the East of Ukraine, which is realized on an annual basis with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia and the International Trust Fund on Enhancing Human Security.

On the margins of the event the Ambassador had a talks with Miro Cerar, during which he expressed gratitude to the Slovenian side for the assistance in arranging rehabilitation for Ukrainian children, as well as noted the necessaty to strengthen humanitarian cooperation, in order to ensure the safety of children, who suffer from military aggression of the Russian Federation.
