On 17 July, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia Petro Beshta met with 50 Ukrainian children and their accompanying adults who are spending their holidays in Slovenia as part of the humanitarian programme of Caritas Slovenia.

For Ukrainian children, this stay is much more than just a summer holiday. It is an opportunity to temporarily leave behind the realities of war, spend time in a safe environment, make new friends, and simply enjoy being children.

The Ambassador expressed his sincere gratitude to Slovenska karitas, in particular to Jana Lampe, as well as to all volunteers and partners involved in organizing this important initiative, for their care, compassion, and unwavering support for Ukrainian children.

Ukraine highly values the solidarity of the Slovenian people. Initiatives like this provide Ukrainian children with something truly precious — a sense of safety, care, and hope.
