Today, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia H.E. Mr. Andrii Taran was presented with the medal of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia "For International Cooperation" of the 1st class.

The 1st Class Medal "For International Cooperation" is awarded to ministers of defense or state secretaries of foreign countries and other high-ranking political or military officials and heads of international organizations.

The award was presented by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia, H.E. Mr. Marjan Šarec, during a solemn ceremony held at the Ministry of Defense of Slovenia.

As the Minister of Defense Marjan Šarec noted during the award ceremony, Ambassador Andrii Taran promotes the development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Slovenia in the field of security and defense through his activities, takes an active part in expert events in Slovenia, and shares his highly professional and expert experience in the field of regional and global security with his Slovenian colleagues, makes an important contribution to the cooperation of the two countries.

The Ambassador of Ukraine expressed his gratitude to the Minister for his strong position regarding the support of Ukraine and its Armed Forces.

"I am confident that this award will be another impulse for the development of our friendly relations"  - pointed Ambassador of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Andrii Taran.
