On October 23,2023 Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovenia H.E. Mr. Andrii Taran presented the state award of Ukraine " Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise" 3rd class to the State Secretary for the International and National Security of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Dr. Andrej Benedičič 

The merit was given to State Secretary Dr. Andrej Benedičič by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the significant personal contribution to the strengthening interstate cooperation, support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and the popularization of the State of Ukraine in the world (Presidential Decree №556/2023, dated September 4, 2023).

«I would like to also stress that today's award is a sign of gratitude of Ukrainian people to all of our Slovenian friends for the firm support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Gratitude for providing military, financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine since the very beginning of the full-scale war started by russia in Ukraine. Gratitude for providing shelter to Ukrainian women and children. We believe in a Victory over the enemy in the name of our joint European future», - emphasized Ambassador of Ukraine during his speech.

The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia H.E. Dr. Robert Golob, representatives of the Prime Minister's Office, the President's Office, as well as members of the National Security Council of the Republic of Slovenia, and representatives of the Slovenian media.
