On August 6, 2022 the Ukrainian community in Slovenia organized a peaceful rally to draw the attention of the Slovenian society to the ongoing full-scale russian invasion , the continuing shellings of civilian infrastructure and killing of the Ukrainian civilian population, to the inhumane war crimes of russian occupiers against Ukrainian prisoners of war. 

On  Prešeren Square, the central square of the city of Ljubljana, local residents and guests of the capital greeted the participants of the action with applause.
