On 22 January 2026, the Ukrainian civic organization in Slovenia "Agora UA", at the initiative of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Slovenia, held an event dedicated to the Day of Unity of Ukraine.

The event, entitled “Chain of Ukrainian Hearts,” brought together the youngest participants and their families in a symbolic gesture of unity and mutual support. In an accessible and interactive format, children learned about the importance of unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility for the future of Ukraine.

The Day of Unity, commemorated annually on 22 January, marks the Act of Unification of 1919, when the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the West Ukrainian People’s Republic declared their union into a single state. This historic event symbolizes Ukrainians’ aspiration to live in an independent and indivisible Ukraine.

The event helped pass these values on to the younger generation and reminded all participants that Ukraine’s unity begins with people and with the heart.
