The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, had a telephone conversation with the President of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar.
The President of Ukraine congratulated Slovenia on the beginning of non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council and expressed hope for a strong voice of the Slovenian delegation in support of Ukraine.
The interlocutors discussed cooperation within the framework of the Ukrainian Peace Formula. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the participation of the Slovenian representative in the 4th meeting at the level of national security advisers and political advisers of state leaders in Davos. He invited Slovenia to be among the participants of the first Global Peace Summit, preparations for which began in Switzerland.
The President of Ukraine also noted Slovenia's accession to the Joint Declaration of the G7 countries agreed at the NATO summit in Vilnius. The interlocutors discussed the beginning of work on a bilateral document on security guarantees within the framework of this declaration.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed Nataša Pirc Musar about the situation on the battlefield and outlined Ukraine's current defense needs. Also, the President thanked for the preliminary defense and humanitarian support of Ukraine provided by Slovenia.
The President of Ukraine also noted Slovenia's participation in the creation of rehabilitation centers in Kharkiv and Zhytomyr Region and in the reconstruction of the hospital in Izyum, Kharkiv Region.
