On May, 20, 2018, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo F. Brodovych with his spouse participated in the event, dedicated to the first celebration of the World Bee Day.

The idea to mark this day belongs to Slovenia, which initiated appropriate resolution in the framework of the UN General Assembly, on the basis of which 20 May was proclaimed as the World Bee Day.

The event was organized by the Municipality of Žirovnica, the Slovenian Beekeepers’ Association and the Beekeepers’ Society Anton Breznica in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of Slovenia, under the honorary patronage of President of Slovenia, H.E. Mr. Borut Pahor.

The event was attended by the leadership of Slovenia, heads of diplomatic missions, representatives of municipalities as well as business circles.
