On August 2, 2018, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo F. Brodovych held a meeting with President of the National Council Alojz Kovšca.
During the meeting the sides discussed main elements of the Crimean Declaration which emphasizes U.S. non-recognition of Russia’s illegal attempt to annex the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In particular, it was stressed that the Ukrainian side is counting on the Slovenian support in the abovementioned matter.
In the context of commemoration of victims of Holodomor 1932-1933 the Ambassador called on the Slovenian side to consider the possibility to adopt appropriate document at the parliamentary level.
The Ambassador briefed the counterpart on the activity of the Joint Ukrainian-Slovenian Commission for the Study of the historical facts of the First World War.
