On June 14, 2018, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo F. Brodovych with Director of the Historical Institute of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences Dr. Petra Svoljšak, who is the head of the Slovenian part of the Joint Ukrainian-Slovenian Commission for the Study of the historical facts of the First World War, visited Nova Gorica.
The main goal of this trip was to find out more about the place where it was installed the monument for the Ukrainian soldiers who died during the First World War on the territory of Slovenia.
In the framework of the visit the Ambassador met with representatives of the Soca Front Society, which assists in reconstruction and maintenance the historical monuments.
During the meeting the sides agreed to launch the cooperation for paying tribute to the Ukrainians who died in Slovenia.
