On November 14, 2018, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo F. Brodovych held a meeting with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Dobran Božič.

In the framework of the talks the sides discussed a number of issues.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the unchangeable position of Slovenia in condemning the policy of the Russian Federation, aimed at supporting terrorist organizations in Donbas. It was stressed that the latest statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia concerning the organization of the so-called election in the so-called DPR and LPR is one more confirmation that our states are committed to the fundamental principles of the international law.

The Slovenian side was informed about situation in the Eastern part of Ukraine, as well as violation of Minsk agreements by the Russian side. The Ambassador provided statistics on the losses of our state in the fight against the aggressor. Special attention was focused on the critical situation with human rights in Crimea as well as political prisoners.

The Slovenian side was informed about the current situation in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait, in particular in the context of violations of international Law of the Sea by the Russian Federation.

The sides discussed bilateral economic cooperation, including next meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Slovenian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

During the meeting it was touched the issues of Holodomor, discussed the International Forum, dedicated to 85-th anniversary of Holodomor. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of condemning this artificially organized crime by the Stalin's regime, aimed at the destruction of the Ukrainian nation.
