Today, the Ambassador of Ukraine Andrii Taran held a meeting with the State Secretary for International and National Security of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia dr. Andrej Benedejčič

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed in detail the current situation in Ukraine in connection with the ongoing large-scale military aggression of Russia, the risks of increased escalation by Russia in the near future, as well as the urgent needs of Ukraine for protection and liberation of its territories from invaders.

The Ambassador of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Republic of Slovenia for the military, financial and humanitarian assistance provided over the past year, and also drew special attention to the importance and timeliness of the support provided to Ukraine by the Slovenian side for the energy sector of Ukraine.

The parties also discussed Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine and its support from Slovenia. The Ambassador of Ukraine called on the Slovenian side to actively and decisively support the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of our country.
