Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovenia Andrii Taran took part in the professional international conference on international and regional security "ASIS Europe - From Risk to Resilience", which was held from March 20 to 22, 2024 in Vienna, Republic of Austria.
The event was dedicated to the discussion of risks, the importance and role of security in supporting the sustainable economic development of the European region and the world in general. The event became a platform for a meeting of leading experts in the field of international and regional security, heads of state, and private security services.
As part of the event, Andrii Taran took part in a discussion panel entitled "Ask me about Ukraine" and answered questions from representatives of countries such as Great Britain, Austria, the Netherlands, and Israel regarding the current security situation in Ukraine, regarding the ongoing full-scale russia's war against Ukraine, as well as its impact on the development of the security situation in the region and the world.
During the official part of the event, the conference participants expressed solidarity with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people and honored the memory of the victims of russia's war against Ukraine with a moment of silence.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Ambassador of Ukraine Andrii Taran also held bilateral meetings, in particular with the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Netherlands Mr. Tom Middendorp, the former Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic Ms.Karla Šlechtova and other representatives of the leadership of various security structures
