Ambassador of Ukraine Andrii Taran and his Bulgarian counterpart, Ambassador Kasimir Boyanov, met with the Director General of the Political Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign and European Rights of the Republic of Slovenia, Mrs. Mateja Norčič Štamcar to hand over an invitation to participate in the Second Black Sea Security Conference.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current security environment in the Black Sea and Adriatic regions, as well as the impact of russia's full-scale war against Ukraine on the global security situation.

Ambassador of Ukraine Andrii Taran emphasized the relevance of the event, noted the importance of the participation of the Slovenian side, as one of the countries that is part of the southern flank of NATO. The Ambassador of Ukraine also drew attention to the change in the balance of forces in the Black Sea basin not in favor of russia, given Ukraine's use of advanced technologies and creative decision-making.

Bulgarian Ambassador to Slovenia Kasimir Bojanov noted that this year's conference will also focus on political aspects of cooperation between the countries of the region in view of russia's ongoing guilt against Ukraine and its impact on the security environment.
