On 14 July, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia, Petro Beshta, held a meeting with the newly appointed Minister of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia, Valentin Hajdinjak.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of Ukraine–Slovenia cooperation in the fields of security and defence, Slovenia's continued support for Ukraine in the face of Russia's ongoing aggression, as well as prospects for further strengthening bilateral partnership.

The Ambassador of Ukraine expressed his sincere gratitude to Slovenia for its steadfast support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, emphasizing the importance of further enhancing cooperation in the interests of shared security and lasting peace in Europe.

The interlocutors reaffirmed their mutual commitment to continuing a constructive dialogue and implementing joint initiatives in the fields of defence and security.
