Today, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovenia, Andrii Taran, held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Slovenia Boštjan Poklukar. The parties discussed the current security situation in Ukraine and in the world, exchanged views on the development of bilateral cooperation, discussed current issues of the bilateral agenda.

Ambassador of Ukraine Andrii Taran expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Slovenia to Ukrainian colleagues from the National Police since the very beginning of the full-scale russian invasion.

Ambassador of Ukraine also drew the Minister's attention to the cases of activation of pro-russian groups in the Republic of Slovenia, which took place in recent months.

For his part, Minister assured the Ambassador of Ukraine of his firm and unwavaring position regarding support for Ukraine and its people. "The government of Slovenia is pro-Ukrainian, the people of Slovenia support Ukraine. There can be no doubts about this" -  the Minister emphasized.

The minister expressed solidarity with Ukraine in connection with the second anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale war of russia against our country and his condolences to the Ukrainian people.
