On November 26, 2024, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovenia Mr. Andrii Taran met with the recently appointed Minister of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia Mr. Borut Sajovic.

During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the current security situation in Ukraine and in the whole world, the development of Ukrainian-Slovenian defense cooperation, as well as ways to intensify bilateral military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and Slovenia.

Interlocutors discussed the ongoing cooperation between the responsible departments of both countries in the field of cybersecurity and agreed on further steps if its development and deepening, given the threats and challenges arising from numerous russia's cyberattacks as well as its informational and propaganda activities.

Slovenian Defense Minister Borut Sajovic assured Ukrainian Ambassador of the unchanging position of the Slovenian government and the Ministry of Defence regarding the continuation of comprehensive support for Ukraine.
