On May 22, 2024, in the premises of the Museum of Modern History of Slovenia in Ljubljana, the cultural event "Vyshyvanka - the code of the nation" dedicated to the International Day of Embroidery took place.
The event was organized by the association of Ukrainians in Slovenia "Razom" with the involvement of the most active members of the Ukrainian community in Slovenia.
Diplomats of the Embassy of Ukraine in Slovenia, representatives of the Ukrainian community, and Slovenian friends of Ukraine took part in the event.
During the event, there was a display of authentic embroidered fabrics from different regions of Ukraine by Natalia Kholod, a presentation on the culture and technique of Ukrainian embroidery by master and collector Zoryana Popel, a display of a collection of clothes in the style of modern Ukrainian boho by Lviv designer Svitlana Horodetska;
The musical decoration of the event was the performance of the Ukrainian choir "Tree of Will" and the Ukrainian singer YOKODO.
The event made it possible to attract attention and reveal the historical and spiritual significance of the Ukrainian national embroidered clothing for the Ukrainian people, which throughout the centuries and despite all attempts to destroy it on the part of Russia, preserves the code of the Ukrainian nation, its traditions, culture and values.
