Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovenia Petro Beshta, together with the Mayor of Maribor Saša Arsenovič, took part in a press conference on the occasion of the handover of a donation from the City of Maribor to Ukraine.

In his remarks, the Ambassador noted that today Kharkiv, the Kharkiv region, Shostka, and the Sumy region sincerely thank the Municipality of Maribor for its substantial humanitarian assistance.

Special thanks were extended to the Mayor of Maribor, who initiated this important effort. It was thanks to his leadership that municipal companies and institutions joined forces, including Energetika Maribor, Mariborski vodovod, Marprom, Mestne nepremičnine, Nigrad, Pogrebno podjetje Maribor, Snaga, Šport Maribor, ZUM, Javni holding Maribor, Lekarne Maribor, Zdravstveni dom dr. Adolfa Drolca Maribor, and the Maribor Fire Brigade.

This is not just aid — it is real support that saves lives.

The donation includes buses, vehicles, computers and laptops, furniture, medical and sanitary supplies, as well as equipment for rescue workers and firefighters.

This assistance will go where it is needed most — to communities living close to the front line.

For Ukraine, it is extremely important to feel that we are not forgotten — even now, even in the most difficult times.

Maribor, thank you for your heart, for your willingness to help, and for your example to others. This will never be forgotten.
