On June 28, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with the President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar. The parties discussed mutual relations between the two countries, the European integration of our country, and the protection of the rights of Ukrainian children.

The head of the Ukrainian government thanked Slovenia for its support in all areas, including military aid.

"We also appreciate the decision on the additional allocation of 5 million euros for humanitarian initiatives and projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine during the Reconstruction Conference in Berlin," noted Denys Shmyhal.

Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the EU's consistent policy of increasing sanctions pressure on Russia. After all, as Denys Shmyhal emphasized, the sanctions pressure on the aggressor must increase.

Among the topics discussed at the meeting was the continuation of the European integration of our country. As the Head of Government noted, in this matter, Ukraine relies on the further support of Slovenia.

During the meeting, in the presence of the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the President of Slovenia, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the governments of the two countries on cooperation in the field of comprehensive support for Ukrainian citizens temporarily relocated to the Republic of Slovenia.

The implementation of the memorandum will contribute to the protection of the rights of Ukrainian children in Slovenia and the safe return of families with children to Ukraine in the future.
