"On such a symbolic day for Ukraine — the Day of the Constitution of Ukraine — I am glad to welcome the President of the Republic of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar to Kyiv.

On behalf of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked Slovenia for financial, military, and humanitarian aid. Ukraine appreciates all the support provided.

Ruslan Stefanchuk noted the importance of Slovenia's participation in the Global Peace Summit. 

The focus of attention is the topic of reconstruction of Ukraine. Currently, we have already implemented projects in Slovenia, in particular, reconstruction of rehabilitation centers in Kharkiv and Zhytomyr region, reconstruction of a hospital in the city of Izyum. Ukraine is counting on the expansion of such cooperation, he noted.

Separately, he thanked Slovenia for joining all 14 sanctions packages. He emphasized that Russia can be defeated, including when we inflict economic pain on the Russian Federation and deprive it of the opportunity to continue the war against Ukraine.

Parties also discussed the development of an international compensation mechanism. It is russia, putin and the puti`s regime that should receive the check for this war.

Considerable attention was paid to the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU, which is a historic moment, and Ukraine's path to NATO membership.

Nataša Pirts Musar assured of further support for Ukraine and noted the latest decision of the Government of Slovenia to allocate five million euros for humanitarian initiatives" - noted on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
