As part of the celebration of the Independence Day of Ukraine, a cultural event was held in Kranj on August 18, presenting gastronomic Ukraine. In addition to authentic Ukrainian dishes presented by the famous Ukrainian restaurateur Dmytro Borysov, visitors could also get acquainted with craft Ukrainian wine. Bottles of wine made from the "saved harvest" of 2022 were a particular pride.

Wineries "Shabo", "Koblevo", "Fathers Wine", "Biologist" presented their wines. The addition to the beer table was Ukrainian crispy snacks and crackers from the Ukrainian Food Production Company.

It is symbolic that Ukrainian companies, which even in war conditions continue to work and have not lost their desire to improve and expand the geographical distribution of their goods, today represent products for the Slovenian people, who have just begun to recover from large-scale floods. That's how, together, supporting each other, we step forward.

Biologist is a winery in the village of Lisnyky. Wine is produced from Riesling, Cabernet, Carmenere, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Odessa Black and Rkatsiteli varieties.

Father's Wine is a family winery that creates bright original wines from unique varieties. It officially entered the market in 2019, becoming the first winery in the Ternopil region with its own grapes: Helios and Dublyanskyi. It is interesting that the winery is equipped with high-tech equipment from Slovenia.

Shabo is an experienced winery with a wide range of grape varieties: from Chardonnay, Rkatsiteli, to Muscat and pink Traminer.

Koblevo Winery: the wines of this winery are among the top 3 most popular wine brands of Ukraine and compete with international wines.

All these wineries share so much love for their land, family business and traditions. There are also stories of destruction, occupation and losses. However, the desire to make his dream come true and share the best wine from his land with people all over the world is irresistible.
