On the third anniversary of the start of russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, a rally and peaceful march in support of Ukraine were held in the historic center of Ljubljana, organized by the Ukrainian community in Slovenia with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine.

The event was attended by Slovenian high-ranking officials, foreign ambassadors, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the Republic of Slovenia, representatives of political, cultural and academic circles, Slovenian deputies, representatives of Slovenian media, representatives of Ukrainian and Slovenian public organizations, citizens of Ukraine who are forced to stay in Slovenia due to the war, activists of the Ukrainian community, and Slovenian friends of Ukraine.

During the event, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovenia H.E. Mr. Petro Beshta addressed the audience, expressing gratitude for the strong support and solidarity with Ukraine from Slovenia and other international partners.

“Today, we also honor the memory of the heroes - the Armed Forces, volunteers, doctors, everyone who stood up to defend their land. We must do everything so that their sacrifice is not in vain,” the Ambassador of Ukraine emphasized and invited all those present to honor the bright memory of the fallen Ukrainian soldiers with a minute of silence.

The Ukrainian community choir "Three of Will" performed a cappella the national anthems of Ukraine and Slovenia, as well as several Ukrainian folk songs. Representatives of the Ukrainian community also made speeches and called for active support for Ukraine.

After the rally, a peaceful march took place through the central streets of Ljubljana, during which words of support for Ukraine and gratitude to the Slovenian people for their support, patriotic slogans and Ukrainian folk songs were heard.

We thank all participants of the event for a very important signal of unity and solidarity for Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian people.
