From December 11 to 12, 2024, in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement on Security Cooperation and Long-Term Support between Ukraine and the Republic of Slovenia, a delegation of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine was in the Republic of Slovenia to enhance cooperation in cybersecurity and the protection of critical infrastructure.

During the two-day visit, the delegation, led by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovenia Andrii Taran, held meetings with representatives of Slovenian government institutions, in particular with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia Damir Černcec, Director of the Government Office for Information Security Uroš Svete, Director of the Main Directorate for Defense Affairs of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia Boštjan Paulin, Deputy Director of the Directorate for Defense Policy of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia Aljoša Silan, and Deputy Director of the Department for Logistics of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia Goran Župan.

During the talks, the parties discussed in detail ways to deepen and intensify bilateral cooperation in cybersecurity and also agreed on specific steps to establish bilateral cooperation in the field of critical infrastructure protection.

Also, members of the delegation held several meetings with managers and specialists of leading companies in the Republic of Slovenia's defense cluster and discussed possible ways to intensify bilateral cooperation to mutually strengthen Ukraine and Slovenia's defense potential.
