The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia Petro Beshta met with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Sajovic

On March 25, 2025, a meeting took place between the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia, H.E. Mr. Petro Beshta, and the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia, H.E. Mr. Borut Sajovic.
Ambassador Petro Beshta expressed gratitude to Slovenia for its strong support of Ukraine from the very first day of russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. He informed the Slovenian side about the current security situation in Ukraine and emphasized the importance of continued support from international partners and allies.

The Ambassador of Ukraine made a request for the provision of another batch of military aid.

He proposed to intensify cooperation between Ukrainian and Slovenian companies in the field of defense industry development.

He provided detailed information about the "ZBROYARI" initiative and suggested considering Slovenia's participation in it.

He discussed the capabilities of Slovenian companies in the development and production of machines for humanitarian demining.

He presented a project proposal for the creation of rehabilitation centers for victims of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The parties agreed to hold consultations on the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Security and Long-Term Support between Ukraine and Slovenia in the near future.
Minister Borut Sajovic praised the incredible resilience of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the entire Ukrainian people in their fight against the aggressor. He also emphasized that Europe should consider this unique experience when developing its defense strategy.
