A joint prayer for Ukraine and a commemoration liturgy for the victims of russia's war against Ukraine took place at St. Bartholomew's Church in Ljubljana

On February 23, 2025, a joint prayer for  Ukraine and a memorial liturgy for the victims of russia's war against Ukraine took place at St. Bartholomew's Church in Ljubljana on the eve of the third year since the beggining of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia, Petro Beshta, along with his wife. In his address to the participants, he emphasized that each of us must remember the heroism of Ukrainian soldiers, who are writing a difficult but crucial chapter in the history of Ukraine and Europe.

"We have unwavering faith in God, in ourselves, and in Ukraine. We believe in justice, which we, together with our partners, will ensure in Ukraine and Europe," said the Ambassador of Ukraine.


The holy mass was conducted by Archi-priest Ivan Skalivskyi.

The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in Slovenia, activists of the Ukrainian community, and temporarily displaced persons currently residing in Slovenia.
